GTPA Trial success

The Trial of the GTPA was completed successfully in 2017. The Trial included the validation of the instrument, standard setting, moderation, and the setting of the cut-score (minimum acceptable level). The AITSL Teaching Performance Assessment (TPA) Committee reviewed a report on the Trial and noted “the significant and comprehensive work that has been undertaken in relation to this project” (AITSL email communication, 15 December 2017). Over 3,000 preservice teachers completed the GTPA throughout the Trial in initial teacher education programs in 13 HEIs.
